Quick Tips: Healthy Snacks

Eating healthy is a huge part of getting in shape. Whether it's substituting a few Pringles with a granola bar or having a frozen yogurt instead of a sundae, every little thing counts!

Below are some of my favorite things to snack on that are healthy but still so yummy.

Blueberries, blackberries, raspberries, and strawberries are high in antioxidants which repair your bodies cells. Spinach and broccoli are full of vitamins and nutrients and can easily be mixed or eaten with other things.

I drink smoothies all the time, usually one or two a day because they are packed with nutrients and taste so good. I mix blueberries, blackberries, raspberries, and a few strawberries with raspberry yogurt, orange juice, pomegranate juice, spinach, flax seed, and an ice cube.
I typically have this when I get home from school because it's easy to make and fills me up till dinner.

Almonds, walnuts, and pecans are some of the most nutritious snacks you can have. They are loaded with monounsaturated fats which help keep your body disease-free. I love snacking on almonds before bed because they're very filling and have tons of protein.

Having some plain yogurt every now and then is a good habit to get in to. Obviously, it is a great source of calcium but yogurt also boosts your immunity and can lower cholesterol. Try to have more Greek or vanilla yogurt instead the artificially flavored kind.
