Friday Five: Fall Nail Polishes

As much as I love pinks, corals, and neons, by the end of summer I'm ready to break out the neutral polishes. In the fall and winter I usually go for grays, blacks, taupes, dark greens, blues... basically anything dark and earth-toned. Some people find it hard for themselves to comfortably wear black nail polish but still love the dark trend. A great alternative is grays or taupes- They are more toned down and not as out of the box. (And easier to get off!) Later in the fall, after always having my nails be gray or black, I love switching it up to either royal blue or dark red. Dark reds are most girls go-to fall and winter polish! I have also been loving metallic and glitter polishes lately, they are more of a fun, young alternative to the earth tones but still look classy.

Candles, Sweaters, Boots...

 Can't wait to light my new fall candles as soon as I get home!

And maybe I'll have to throw on a nice warm sweater(:

Fall Obsession: Collared Tank Tops

As much as I love summer, lately I've been so excited to break out my jeans and sweaters. But sometimes as much as I want to wear those things, it's still a little warm for that so recently I've been loving collared tank tops. Pairing them with jeans and boots still gives your outfit a summery vibe and you're not extremely hot throughout the day. You can always but always put a jacket over top of them if it is cooler. I love tops like these because they can add an edgy touch to your outfit or make it look very put together and classy. I cannot wait to transition my tank tops (especially collared ones!) into the autumn months! How would you work a collared tank top into your fall style?

Liv's Summer Recap!! ☼

Well it's been a summer to remember to say the least! Today is my last day of summer but that is no reason for the fun to end!
The last day of a family trip, we like to share our pit and peak of the vacation and last night at the lake, we did the same thing with all of our friends!
I have so many peaks I can't choose just one thing! Being at the lake every week with awesome family friends is something I am so fortunate to experience. Just being around people who make you laugh and enjoy the days off makes me never want summer to end!
Going on vacation up north with my dad's side of the family the weekend before my brother moved away was an unforgettable time! I got to spend time with people very close to me and enjoyed the last few nights with my brother around. We have an amazingly close relationship and him being at college has been something really hard to adjust to.
As for my pit of the summer, there is one moment that stood out to me as something that wasn't very enjoyable.
Being in the hosptial the whole day after getting home from Minneapolis that morning is a story I could re-tell with ease, vividly remembering every second of it. By the end of summer, my brother and his friends were physically torn apart by college but it only makes them realize how great their friendships are. They are all very close family friends so we will be with them many more times. I would not consider this a pit of my summer, just another great milestone in their lives!!

As I said earlier, these past three months are ones I'll never forget. Getting five feet off the water while tubing with long time family friends, family trips up north and to Minneapolis, playing dare games in my hot-tub with friends, watching the sun go down numerous times at the lake, and doing nothing but relaxing at home... it all happened during the summer of 2012!
